Harold Alfred Triplett

Harold Alfred (Gordy) Triplett, 93, of Missoula, passed away Sunday, Sept. 8, 2013, at Hillside Manor of natural causes, in the arms of his loving family.

He was born Oct, 5, 1919, in Eureka to Roby Estes Triplett and Frances Alice (Bean) Triplett.

On July 10, 1941, he married Doris Eveline McLaughlin in Port Orchard, Wash. The couple lived in various towns in Washington and Montana before moving up Lolo Creek. He has lived the past 43 years in Missoula.

He served in World War II, landing in Africa and marching through the Poe Valley, Italy, to Germany with his brother Bob.

He enjoyed fishing in Alaska with his son Randy, his horse racing and, of course, all the babies.

A loving husband, father to four children, grandfather to 11, great grandfather to 28, great great grandfather to 16, he loved his family and would do anything for anyone. Being one of 12 children, he has multiple nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, all 12 brothers and sisters, his wife Doris, son Gordon (Mark), granddaughter Misty, great grandchildren David and Ashley, son-in-law Gene Severns.

He is survived by Sharon Severns and family; Ricky and Deanna Baier and family; Ranae Baier and family; Ty and Debbie Dingmann and family; Christine and Jay Stevens and family; Michelle Stainbrook and family; Melissa Triplett and family; Steven Goodsell and Carlee Palen and family; Joshua and Miranda Stevens and family; Randy and Darlene Triplett and family; Marshall Triplett; Randy Leibenguth and family; Heather and Albie Savo and family; 10 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; 16 great great children; several nieces and nephews and cousins in Eureka.

Services were Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home, with burial following.
