A historic building on Dewey Ave. in Eureka is demolished with Elmer Brenneman at the wheel on a summery April day last week. The building, long vacant, was the original home of the Tobacco Valley News starting around 54 years ago. Lot owners Eric and Lilia Daniels said that asbestos was cleaned from the building five years ago, and the cleared lot will be for sale.
