John Lee Osler
John Lee Osler, loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones Dec. 14, 2012.
Johnny was born June 9, 1933, in Denton, Mont., to Earl and Laura Osler.
In 1937 the Osler family moved to Trego. When Johnny got older he joined his brothers in the family sawmill. After the sale of the sawmill, Johnny continued to stay busy doing various jobs until retirement.
He married Charlotte Audrey Roedel on Aug. 18, 1952. To that marriage was born David, Gary and Gay. On May 18, 1979, Johnny then married Barbara (Lamey) Titchbourne. With that union he was blessed with five additional children: Valerie, Bob, Candace, Tina, and Jay.
He is preceded in death by his parents and five brothers: Glen, Phil, Gerald, Dale, and Wylie; his son, Gary Osler; daughter Tina Titchbourne, and grandson Dustin Alvarez.
He is survived by his loving wife Barb; his brother Ervin, and his children: David Osler, Gay Cook, Valerie Hogan, Bob Titchbourne, Candace Alvarez, and Jay Titchbourne, as well as, 15 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
Johnny loved spending time with family and friends He was an avid fisherman and hunter and was known for his sense of humor. He loved being with his family at the lake. He also enjoyed watching sports and was known to throw his hat when provoked by bad umpire calls or a poorly dealt hand of cards.
His memorial service will be held at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Eureka on Saturday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. Following the burial of his remains at the Tobacco Valley Cemetery, there will be a reception in the basement of the church.
The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the food pantry, Mountain View Manor or other local charities.
