Carol Kathleen Burch Pinson, 72, passed away July 2, 2013, at her home in Eureka, attended by her sisters Beatrice and Patricia.

Carol was born Aug. 15, 1940, at Eureka, to Tom and Lucille (Holder) Burch.  Carol was the ninth child to join the happy household.

She spent the majority of her life in Eureka, where she completed school and used her expertise in her business of real estate.  She was known throughout the community as one who was industrious and who could be counted on in business dealings.

Carol was also instrumental in developing land.  Some of the sidelines that Carol enjoyed and excelled in were horsemanship and rodeo.  Horses were her great love, and she took great pride in the care of her animals.

Carol was preceded in death by her father, Tom, and mother, Lucille; two brothers, Tommy and Jerry Burch; four sisters, Jean Lambert, Helen Knight, Rosella Roberts Bond, Thelma Ness; and Joe Pinson.

Survivors include her sisters Beatrice Helton of Lenoir, N.C., and Patricia Chalcraft of Albany, Ore.; and her children Jada, Judd, and Floyd Pinson.

Carol was loved and cared for by many family members and friends and will always be a part of their lives.

During her illness, Carol was cared for by Gail Butchart, Sherry Chalcraft, Bennie and Tina Owen, and special friends Cindra and Debbie.  The family would like to thank all who loved and cared for Carol throughout this challenging time.

Graveside services for Carol were held Friday, July 5, 2013, at the Tobacco Valley Cemetery in Eureka.

 

Arrangements were by Schnackenberg & Nelson Funeral Home of Eureka.
