Raymond H. Woodard, 84, of Lakeland, Fla., passed away June 20, 2013, at home due to dementia, surrounded by family members.

Born in Chestnut Mount, Tenn., Raymond and his wife Bobbie spent a number of years living in Lakeland and Lake Wales before moving to Spokane, Wash., in 1970 and Rexford in 2000.

They were snowbirds during the winter in Lakeland before moving back in 2010.  Raymond had retired in 2000 from the rental real estate business, had worked as a manager for Table Supply, which became Winn-Dixie, and was the owner of Fine Art, Rug and Carpet in Lake Wales.

He was a member of the Chapel of Praise, Church of God in Eureka, and was an attendee of Abundant Life Church of God in Lakeland.

Raymond is survived by his wife of 64 years, Bobbie; son Darrell and wife Grace; two daughters: Linda Green and husband Richard, Patricia Gunther and husband Robert; brother Larry Woodard and wife Sue; six sisters: Opal Dansby and husband James; Reatha McLeod and husband Clinton; Sue Platt and husband Ray; Doris Williams and husband Rodney; Lillie Alverson and husband Clarence; Jewel Kinser and husband Irvin; two sisters-in-law: Vyrda Woodard and Lenora Woodard; six grandchildren; two great grandsons and one great granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, R.L. and Jason Woodard.

Funeral services were June 26 at Abundant Life Church in Lakeland, Fla.

A memorial service will be held at the Chapel of Praise, Church of God on Thursday, July 11, 2013, at 11 a.m.

The family has requested that donations in Raymond’s memory be made to the Chapel of Praise, 6474 Hwy 93 S., Eureka, MT  59917.
